The Department of Applied Nutrition was successful in receiving a grant from the Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) project, a World Bank Funded Sri Lankan government operation to support the higher education sector. The Department of Applied Nutrition was successful in receiving the grant under the Enriching Learning, Teaching and Assessment (ELTA) and English Language Skills Enhancement (ELSE)  Department Development Project.
