Prof Ananda Chandrasekara is currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. He is also a Registered Medical Practitioner (Medical Doctor- Registered in Sri Lanka Medical Council) with more than 10 years of clinical experience at Government Hospitals in Sri Lanka.  As a University academic he has research and teaching experience in the fields of Clinical Biochemistry, Human Nutrition, and public Health. He completed his PhD at the University of Sydney in 2004. His PhD work was on “effects of maternal undernutrition and subsequent refeeding on development of metabolic disorders during adulthood”.

Current teaching areas – Dietetics, Sports Nutrition, Diet & Disease, Human Physiology, Biochemistry and Metabolism.
