Selection Criteria for Dean’s List<\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n

  1. <\/strong>Dean\u2019s List Entry Criteria<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Undergraduate degree programmes of the FLFN consists of three academic levels; Level 1 (First two years), Level 2 (Year 3) and Level 3 (Year 4). In order to earn Dean\u2019s List standing in a given level of study, a student must fulfil two sets of requirement; Criteria common to all three academic levels (Section 1.1 – Common criteria) and criteria specific to each level (Section 1.2- Specific criteria for Levels).<\/span><\/p>\n

    1.1 <\/strong>Common Criteria <\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    A student should have;<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Obtained a \u2018C\u2019 or higher grade from the first attempt for all credited course units taken by the student in the considered academic level.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Obtained pass marks for all non-credited compulsory course units during the considered academic level for Dean\u2019s list.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Not faced any disciplinary action approved by the Council for any misconduct while in the University.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Not received any warning letter for any misconduct from the Vice Chancellor\/Dean\/Proctor during the considered academic level for the Dean\u2019s list.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Evidence for the involvement in extra-curricular activities. (Section 2.b)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      1.2 Specific criteria for Levels <\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      1.2.1 Specific criteria for Levels 1<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      \u00a0<\/u><\/span>A student should have;<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Obtained a minimum GPA of 3.55 for Level 1.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Completed 60 credits in Level 1.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        1.2.2 Specific criteria for <\/span>Level 2<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

        A student should have;<\/span><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Obtained a minimum GPA of 3.60 for Level 2.<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Completed a minimum of 40 credits in Level 2 including compulsory course units.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          1.2.3 Specific criteria for Level 3<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

          A student should have;<\/span><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Obtained a minimum GPA of 3.70 for Level 3.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Completed a minimum of 20 credits in Level 3 including compulsory course units.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            \u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Implementation<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                \n
              • Selection to the Dean\u2019s List will be done by the Teaching and Learning Committee<\/strong> of the faculty.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • Evidence for the involvement in extracurricular activities will be gathered from the<\/strong> Student Portfolio.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
              • Dean\u2019s List concept is implemented for the three levels of the faculty\u2019s fulltime undergraduate study programme.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • Dean\u2019s lists will be prepared annually<\/strong> and upon obtaining the recommendation of Faculty Board, will be published by displaying in the faculty website and \/ or faculty notice board.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • Students selected to the Dean\u2019s List will receive a certificate from the Dean<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • A suitable notation<\/strong> of this achievement is placed on the student\u2019s academic transcript and included into student\u2019s personal file.<\/span><\/li>\n
              • The opportunity to enter in the dean\u2019s list is notified in the Students\u2019 Hand book (Section 7.1).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
